About the Band

History of The Dune Sea

The Dune Sea formed in 2018 when band members Spencer Underwood and Jake Kremer began recording songs together as a duo. They released their first album, The Curse of the Chinese Sombrero, in June of 2018 including a variety of styles culminating in a lo-fi indie rock theme. Since then, they've released three other studio albums with the help of friends such as Aiden Foley, Pierce Felt, Wolfgang Willard, and Julian Creech-Pritchett. The Dune Sea is not a band that has an intransigent style, they constantly push boundaries with their sound. With genres ranging from alternative rock to indie electronic to soulful funk, there is bound to be a song for you. Their fifth album, Living Daydreams, encompasses everything they have learned thus far and is the pinnacle of the sound of The Dune Sea.

Members

Spencer Underwood

Spencer Underwood is the voice of The Dune Sea. He writes and sings on all of The Dune Sea tunes. The themes of each album revolve around his intricate lyricism and creative songwriting. Finding inspiration across all genres of music, he is not limited to writing in any one particular style. In the live setting, he plays guitar and sings. In the studio, he does much more than vocals, ranging from guitars, bass and keyboards.

Jake Kremer

Jake Kremer is the head producer of The Dune Sea. He works closely with Spencer to craft each album to perfection to be released to the public. In the live setting, he plays lead guitar, keyboards and the occasional drum set and vocals. In the studio setting he plays the majority of the instruments, ranging from guitars, bass, keyboards/synthesizers, drum set and more. If you are in search of a producer, look no further!

Aiden Foley

Aiden "Aids" Foley is a key element of The Dune Sea. Not only does he rock the low end in the live setting, but his erudite production and engineering knowledge really bring out the best in the band. He doesn't just help musically, but he also does quite a bit of graphic design and artwork for our cover art. He lays down his signature bass style on the tunes Magnetized II and The Other Side. His talent really shines on the track Isolation, in which he produced the entire song. You can check out his other music here.

Pierce Felt

Pierce Felt is the secret weapon of The Dune Sea. His skills on the keyboard are unmatched by the average rock band keys player. He often assists in the studio and in the live setting (when his mom lets him). His keyboards on tracks such as Ride the Wave, Hold My Heart, and The Other Side really show he's not here to play around.

Wolfgang Willard

Wolfgang Willard is a recurring member of The Dune Sea roster. His tight sense of groove and delicate rhythms on the kit aid in bringing the songs to life, both in the studio and the live setting. He's featured on tracks such as Hold My Heart, Mystic, She's a Dream, Endless Charade, and The Other Side.

Julian Creech-Pritchett

Julian Creech-Pritchett is a recurring member of The Dune Sea roster. He's a musician unlike any other, with a diverse skill set and an insane feel for groove. He always brings something new to the table, whether it's live or in his home studio. He's featured on the tracks Mind's Eye and Gold. Check out his band, Sweet Dream!
